Yeah it's legit. I've had mine for about 6 months and always get the 5% back on Amazon. It shows up as a statement credit.

Can confirm, it's pretty sweet for Amazon addicts. Just make sure you're buying directly from Amazon and not a third-party seller on the platform for the full 5% in all cases, I think.

Wondering about the instant discounts, like for Flipkart sales. Do they automatically apply or do I need to hunt for a code somewhere?

Usually, it's automatic. Just use your ICICI card at checkout on Flipkart, and the discount gets applied if you meet the minimum spend. Haven't had to use a code for those big sales.
